field museum
The
field museum is the most important place in Chicago it has many valuable
information to see. Furthermore it was a cloudy and lovely Thursday when our
beloved teacher told us that we have to go and visit the field museum to play a
game. In addition we need to write an essay about what we saw there. One
valuable learning experience is that I was able to learn new information about
the American culture. However, this place
is significant because there’s a lot of exhibits for example, historical,
science, and The Ancient
Americas.
When we arrived to the museum I thought it’s going
to be like the shedd aquarium long line and stuff, but everything went smooth.
We waited maybe ten minutes or so. My team and I were looking at the phone for
the game we need to play. Furthermore we took the tickets and we went inside,
our captain was Silvana she was very helpful and also funny. We started to do
the tasks the first one was taking a picture with ask me guide, it was little
strange to ask them for a picture, but we enjoyed our time together. When we
was playing the game I went to ask a women for a picture, but she didn’t
understand me because she was speaking Spanish! I feel little embarrassed, and
I ran to Silvana to help me.
After that, as we was walking I saw something
strange, it was my first time to see a statue of a huge dinosaur. However, this
statue made me think of the previous generation and how they were living with these huge animals, in addition to that it was my
dream to see a place full of information about the dinosaurs because in my
country I was just able to read about it, we don’t have any museums. this huge statue
of dinosaur has a lot of teeth I was counting them and I couldn’t figure out how
many they are. In addition the skull was thick and big. if this animal were still alive i think it will be a big problem because thats very huge animal.
Finally, I saw the DNA discovery center at this
place I read about what is the DNA and how its works. There was a women and I
asked her what’s this, she told me that the DNA test has five steps which is
collect, extract, amplify, sequence, and analyze. With these steps we can do
the DNA, and also she told me that inside the museum they have a clinic or
something to do the DNA analyze a lot of people work there and with some
strange tools.
To conclude with, when I was in my way to my home I
realized that this trip made me learn a new experience. For example, when I was
in my home country I couldn’t visit any museum but here I can, so felt happy
because I love to learn new things and in the United States gave me the opportunity to learn new and valuable things. however, also these kind of trips make good connection between the classmates. and, i can make new friends.
